BOAT SECURITY MONITORING SYSTEM

To better protect your boats, we have introduced a new „smart system“ for the monitoring of your boats in order to raise the boat security and surveillance level. The system implies regular dock walks works performed by the marina staff to check the status of every boat in the marina. With our new technology, these activities are now recorded straight into our application on a rugged smartphone. Every activity performed on the vessel is logged with a description and a photo.

The boat owner is provided with a recorded log of all activities performed by the marina staff and can review all of these activities in a FREE MOBILE APPLICATION available for IOS and Android systems.

The battery-powered photoelectric sensor is designed to protect you and your boat from the dangers of smoke and fire. The photoelectric technology is more sensitive in detecting slow smoldering fires which generate light smoke, little heat and may smolder for hours before bursting into flames. The heat alert is triggered by temperatures in range from 55-70°C and is designed for cabin/saloon protection (not engine rooms). In case of a smoke or fire incident, the sensor will repeat a beeping signal and send a radio message to the base unit. The alerts will be forwarded to you via a notification on your smartphone and email. Your home marina will be instantly informed as well. The battery can last more than 5 years in normal conditions. This sensor monitors your bilge using a small float switch installed close to your bilge pump. If the float switch is activated by the rising water level in the bilge, an alert is generated instantly informing you and your home marina about the situation. The alert is repeated every 24 hours until it is resolved. If the water is pumped out of the bilge, the float switch is automatically deactivated and the device resets to its normal state. You will have a log of all of these activities. Having this sensor on board will significantly reduce the risk of your boat sinking or other kind of damage caused by water. There are many unpredictable circumstances which may lead to catastrophic consequences for your boat, such as galvanic currents, corrosion, temperatures below zero, but there are also less disastrous circumstances such as rain water finding a way inside the boat and damaging the interior of the boat. Having this simple and affordable sensor on board can protect you from big losses. The installation is very simple and requires no electrical wiring. The sensor and float switch must be mounted with screws or fastening collars at the proper position in the bilge.

Having this sensor on board will significantly increase the life expectancy of your batteries. The sensor periodically monitors (every 3h) up to two battery banks and warns you about any relevant information or action required to properly maintain your batteries. The sensor will inform you when to recharge your batteries to avoid damage due to sulfation caused by low charge . If there is a sudden voltage drop to less than 5V (indicating a potential short circuit) or your battery charger is malfunctioning and possibly delivering an overvoltage to the batteries, a critical battery fault alert will be generated. For all our berth holders who decide to have a smoke/heat detector installed on their boat, Marina Veruda will perform 24/7 sensor monitoring for free to be able to promptly react in case of fire and to ensure the maximum safety of every boat in the marina. In case of a smoke/heat detector alert, both the owner of the boat concerned and the staff of the marina will be immediately informed via mobile application, text message and email.
