A Marina Veruda partner
Veruda Sailing School
An advanced sailing school whose home port is Marina Veruda — for skippers ready for every challenge the sea can throw at them.
Marina Veruda is the home port of Veruda Sailing School — a school of advanced sailing that pushes the limits. The partnership between the marina and the school rests on shared values of excellence and safety.
A school for skippers ready for anything
Veruda Sailing School is no ordinary sailing school: its focus is advanced, offshore and racing courses, and its aim is competent skippers ready for every challenge the sea can bring. The story of the school is also the story of its founder, Robert Šarić — born in Osijek, a “Pannonian sailor” who has anchored his Slavonian tenacity in Pula.
A partnership born of excellence
Recognising Robert's uncompromising commitment to safety and excellence, Tehnomont Marina Veruda threw its weight behind the project: the marina is the school's home port and its “Gold Partner”, providing a logistics base for ventures that until recently sounded out of reach.
A 2,300-mile odyssey
The highlight of the 2025 season was a 2,300-mile passage that took in one of the most demanding and prestigious races in the world — the Rolex Middle Sea Race. As the only Istrian crew, the Veruda Sailing School team came through everything the Mediterranean can serve up: from heavy seas at the start of the race beneath the cannons of Valletta, through the currents of the Strait of Messina, to night sailing by the glow of the Stromboli volcano.
The venture proved that even with a small cruising boat, and the first-class preparation cultivated at the school, the most demanding challenges can be completed safely. Robert's next goal is a circumnavigation of the globe.
